Review of Microscope, Instrumentation & Knot Tying using Bio-Tissue
Arterial End-to-End Anastomosis
Tuesday 8am-6pm
End-to-End Anastomosis
Introduction End-to-End Nerve Coaptation (use of rats)
Wednesday 8am-6pm
Nerve Conduits & Allografts in Cadaver Tissue
CME: CME is subject to MAYO approval.
Course is customized for AENS nerve procedures with use of rats and cadaver tissue.
Class Size: Limited to 4 per course
Additional Information
• The microsurgery courses on these dates are customized for AENS.
• Attendees must be AENS Fellow or Qualified Fellow and recommended to have completed 20 SX nerve procedures. Additional attendees can go on a wait list and must contact the AENS office.
• Students MUST confirm 3 weeks prior to course.
• The course highlights nerves, in addition to the base focus on skill development in the use of microsurgical techniques demonstrated on live rats.
